Ten Tactics That Could Save Your Online Reputation

via mashable.com: "Andy Beal, co-author of Radically Transparent: Monitoring and Managing Reputations Online and CEO of online reputation monitoring tool Trackur...outlines ten tactics that could prevent your company suffering its own online reputation meltdown..."

Summary:
  1. Know your achilles heel
  2. Assume everything will make it’s way to the web
  3. Create a great online impression; dress to impress!
  4. Choose your blog voice carefully
  5. Hangout at the right social network
  6. Send blogger’s love letters, not PR pitches
  7. Build your Google reputation now, not later
  8. Monitor your online reputation as often as your email
  9. Ostriches are not great role-models
  10. Three words to remember
While definitely a promo for his book, this is an insightful article nonetheless.

New Feature: Coworkers.com Adds Personal Avatar & Multiple Picture Upload Support

Coworkers.com has added picture-uploading tools for registered users! Users can upload multiple images to share with others. In addition to having a picture library, users can upload a default photo to use as their avatar (personal icon), which will be displayed on their Coworkers.com profile page.

We feel that it is a good opportunity for our users to share images related to their professional identity. This can be as standard as a great portrait photograph to display on their profile page, to screen-shots or project images from their business portfolio. Pictures speak volumes, and a handful of impressive images coupled with our other features such as unbiased reviews, and work experience, can help project a balanced representation.

Supported image formats are jpg, gif, and png with a maximum individual file size of 3 MB. Animations are not supported.
